I am a born and raised Houstonian and proud of it. I am a graduate of the University of Houston and double majored in Political Science and English Literature. Currently I work as a teacher at Houston Independent School District and focus on special education and History.
From an early age my family encouraged me to follow through what I believe in and to work to accomplish my goals. They also taught me the values of liberty, personal freedom, and fiscal responsibility. I have been working in Houston Republican politics since 2009. I founded the Houston chapter of the Log Cabin Republicans and frequently volunteer for several local Republican candidates. I am a member of the Houston Republican Liberty Caucus and a Precinct Chair for precinct 34. In my non-political life I also like to volunteer for local homelessness initiatives and church activities.
As the president of the Houston Young Republicans my main goals are to involve the upcoming generation in the political process, make sure their voices and opinions are counted and to make the political system accountable to standards of good governance. Those wanting to make a difference by electing good candidates, becoming precinct chair, or just connecting with like minded people are welcome to join in the efforts of the Houston Young Republicans.
More than anything what drives me is the hope that my work may in some way make the world a better place than it would have been without me.
